By creating an account or using Socio, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Socio. By using the app, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and that all information you provide is accurate.
3. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- You must provide accurate information during registration
- You may not create multiple accounts
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
4. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Post content that is illegal, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or obscene
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Post spam, advertisements, or solicitations
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or private data
- Use the app to stalk, bully, or harass others
- Upload malware or exploit vulnerabilities
- Circumvent age restrictions or other safety measures
- Use automated tools to scrape content or create accounts
5. User-Generated Content
- You retain ownership of content you post
- By posting, you grant Socio a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display your content within the app
- You are solely responsible for content you post
- We may remove content that violates these terms
- Posts expire automatically (24 hours standard, 7 days for premium users)
6. Content Moderation
- We use automated tools to detect toxic and harmful content
- Moderators may review flagged content and take action
- Actions include hiding posts/comments, issuing warnings, or banning accounts
- You may report users for spam, harassment, inappropriate content, or other violations
- You may block users to prevent interaction
7. Direct Messaging
- Messages between users are private
- The knock system requires mutual consent before messaging
- Roulette chat conversations are temporary (5-minute window)
- We do not monitor private message content
8. In-App Purchases
- Premium subscriptions and post promotions are available via Apple App Store and Google Play
- Purchases are processed by Apple/Google through RevenueCat
- Refunds are handled by Apple/Google per their respective policies
- Premium features include extended feed radius (up to 100km), 7-day post visibility, and post promotion
9. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Are reported by multiple users
- Engage in harmful or illegal behavior
- Circumvent bans or restrictions
You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen.
10. Disclaimers
- Socio is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of user-provided content
- We are not responsible for interactions between users
- We do not verify the identity of users beyond age verification
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Socio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app.
12. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Socio operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
